[Voiceover] China's electric vehicle industry is taking a drive into the countryside, with a national campaign to boost EV adoption in rural areas. At this EV mall in Zunyi City of southwest China's Guizhou Province, there are 100 EV models that are eligible for sales incentives. A test driver of one EV dealership in the mall said he gets dozens of clients every day. [Soundbite] Zhang Lin, EV test driver: "I have received up to 16 groups of customers a day. Our two test drive cars have run an average mileage of around 7,000 kilometers each." [Voiceover] The sales boom is happening in tandem with the rollout of more charging piles in rural areas. Power companies are even deploying workers who specialize private charging pile installation to EV dealership to help advise new customers. [Soundbite] Zhu Xinke, JD Auto Guizhou: "In Zunyi, orders for high-power charging piles skyrocketed by over 150 percent in the first half of the year." [Voiceover] Data from the National Energy Administration shows that 119,000 public charging piles were installed in China's rural areas from January to May this year.
