In a statement on his social media account, Yerlikaya said that during their meeting, they discussed interministerial cooperation opportunities on security issues, particularly the fight against terrorist organizations, transnational organized crime groups, and migrant smuggling. Minister Yerlikaya stated: “We explained that as Türkiye, we act in migration management based on law, human rights, and our national interests, drawing strength from our civilizational values, without compromising public order, public security, or public health, in light of our country’s historical experience, we have presented a model to the world with a humanitarian and rational approach.
