Amateur sourdough baker and self-proclaimed jokester Katie brought unexpected humour to Easter baking this year when her attempt at a pink bunny-shaped sourdough loaf took a wild turn.

Inspired by the season, Katie shaped her dough into a bunny and sprinkled pink dragonfruit powder on top, hoping for a cute pastel finish. But as the colour deepened, she realised it looked more like blood than blush, and the bunny began to resemble something out of a cartoon crime scene.

Around Easter, I was making bunny shaped sourdough bread. I thought it would be fun to add pink dragonfruit powder on the top to make a cute pink bunny. As soon as I added the color, it saw it looked like blood. I was videoing the process anyways so I continued making it! I was laughing so hard the whole time because it looked ridiculous. It ended up turning out kind of cute which lots of people noticed but the process was brutal!
