A motorist captured the terrifying moment a car was wiped out by a truck on the A14 in Kettering, UK.

Footage shows the vehicle driving dangerously close to two large trucks before being clipped as one of them switches lane. The red car then spins out and is left facing the other way on the inside lane.

The filmer told Newsfkare: "Whilst travelling east along the A14 in Kettering, a truck and a car entered the carriageway from a slip road. A truck that was already on the A14 moved to lane two to allow them on.

"Instead of dropping back and allowing the established truck to fall back into lane one, the car seemed to be in a rush and stayed close to the truck in front pushing forwards to overtake using whatever tiny gap appeared as the established truck dropped back.

"Unfortunately a combination of staying in this 'low visibility' area and the truck driver not checking properly resulted in the car being wiped out and it came to rest in lane two facing lane one."
