3. THICK SMOKE BILLLOWING INTO SKY (TWO SHOTS) GAZA STRIP, PALESTINE - AUGUST 8: An Israeli strike on the al-Zeitoun neighborhood in eastern Gaza on Friday, August 8, killed and wounded several people, according to local reports.

The attack caused damage to numerous buildings and structures in the area.

Rejecting international calls for a ceasefire, the Israeli army has pursued genocide in Gaza since Oct. 7, 2023, killing over 61,200 Palestinians, most of them women and children. The relentless bombardment has destroyed the enclave and led to food shortages.

Last November, the International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza.

Israel also faces a genocide case at the International Court of Justice for its war on the enclave.
