This is the heart-stopping moment a massive python was caught in a family's bathroom in Thailand.

The 6ft reticulated python was found clinging onto the shower in Chanthaburi province on October 30.

The terrified locals called animal rescuers to remove the hissing beast from their home.

Footage shows volunteers using a pipe to coax the snake free before dragging it outside and releasing it unharmed into the wild.

The reticulated python is found throughout Southeast Asia, where they live in forests, swamps, canals and even in cities, causing them to come into conflict with humans. The species is one of the world's largest snakes and can eat humans, cats, dogs, birds, rats and other snakes.
