Israel: DRONE - Thousands demonstrate in Tel Aviv to demand Gaza ceasefire, hostage deal
SHOTLIST TEL AVIV, ISRAEL (AUGUST 9, 2025) (ANADOLU - ACCESS ALL) 1. VARIOUS OF DRONE SHOTS OF PROTESTERS AT HABIMA SQUARE IN TEL AVIV (NIGHT SHOTS) 2. PROTESTERS BLOCKING ROAD (NIGHT SHOT) TEL AVIV, ISRAEL - AUGUST 9: Thousands of Israelis gathered in Tel Aviv’s Habima Square on Saturday evening (Aug. 9) to demand a hostage deal with Palestinian groups to secure the release of captives held in the Gaza Strip. The demonstrators called on the government to reach a ceasefire and secure the release of all hostages. Tel Aviv estimates that 50 Israelis remain captive in Gaza, including 20 believed to be alive. Meanwhile, Israel is holding more than 10,800 Palestinian detainees, many of whom face torture, starvation, and medical neglect, according to Palestinian and Israeli rights groups. Israel has been facing mounting outrage over its deadly war on Gaza, where more than 61,300 people have been killed since October 2023. The military campaign has devastated the enclave and brought it to the verge of famine. Last November, the International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza. Israel also faces a genocide case at the International Court of Justice for its war on the enclave.
