This is the dramatic moment a speeding bus flipped onto its side and crashed into a toll booth, spilling passengers onto the road.

The public transit vehicle was maneuvering through thick fog toward the toll gate when it lost control and slammed into a buffer barrier at the collection point in Tula Oblast, Russia.

The impact caused the bus to overturn, with several travelers falling through the windows onto the motorway on August 5 morning.

CCTV footage shows passengers pushing the coach upright, causing it to subtly bounce in place.

Police investigations suggest the driver may have fallen asleep at the wheel before a second driver tried to take control. However, he was unable to stop the bus from skidding in the poor road visibility.

The motorcoach was traveling from Stakhanov in the Lugansk People's Republic to Moscow, carrying 48 passengers and two drivers.

Local media report that 39 individuals sustained injuries, including three children, and were transported to a hospital.

The incident is currently under investigation.
