Water bombers bombing a wildfire raging on the Croatian coast
We are on holiday in Podstrana in Croatia. We awoke to a wildfire raging just down the coast, so we walked to the police roadblock to ask whether we should be worried about it. On the way, we saw the water bombers dropping their loads in the hills just above us. They were scooping water from the sea just the other side of us and returning in a circuit.
This is the Jesenica wildfire in Dalmatia, near Split, Croatia.
