According to the UKHSA and Met Office data, the amber warning covers the East Midlands, West Midlands, East of England, London, and South East England, effective from 9 a.m. Tuesday to 6 p.m. Wednesday local time.

An amber alert indicates that the extreme heat is likely to burden health and social care services, posing elevated risks—particularly to the elderly and those with pre-existing conditions.

Citizens are advised to stay hydrated, avoid strenuous outdoor activities during peak hours, and check on vulnerable individuals, including older neighbors and the chronically ill.
