Benito Juárez International Airport faced severe flooding, as shown in a video shared by X user JJCazares.

Inside the terminal, water covered the floor extensively, forcing cleaning crews to work hard to manage the rising flood.

Workers used mops, squeegees, and buckets to clear water, pushing it toward drains and away from passenger areas.

Passengers and onlookers watched as the cleanup effort continued amid the chaos.

JJCazares remarked: “No comments! Images of our Benito Juarez International Airport in Mexico City. Out of respect for the Benemerito, they should change its name and rename it Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador International Airport, ‘The Pejelagarto’.”

“The Pejelagarto” refers to Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador’s nickname, inspired by a fish native to his home state of Tabasco.
