Striking Sunrise Illuminated By Wildfire Smoke Over Cambridge
A breathtaking sunrise over Cambridge was captured, revealing the smoky haze from distant wildfires altering the morning sky.
The footage, filmed at approximately 6 a.m. on August 11 from 263 feet high on the Fresh Pond moraine, shows early sunlight filtering through thick wildfire smoke.
This vivid display highlights how far-reaching wildfire effects can change air quality and transform skies even in regions far from the flames.
The photographer noted: “I took this this morning, August 11, from my apartment in Cambridge, Massachusetts, 263 feet above ground on the Fresh Pond moraine, around 6 a.m.”
