This is the shocking moment a dad accidentally flicked a spring bar into his eye during a strength exercise.

CCTV footage shows Mr Wang talking with his two sons before turning his back to perform a grip and weight training in Guizhou, China.

The topless man can be seen holding the handlebars and squeezing them with all his strength to bend the equipment on July 30.

Moments later, he lost his grip, causing the bar to snap back and strike his face before straightening again.

He yelped in pain, clutching his eye and bending forward from the impact.

Hearing this, his sons stood up from their seats to check on their father.

Mr Wang said: 'The blow caused my eyelid to bleed and left me with blurred vision. That kind of equipment should be used properly to avoid injury.'
