Phoenix, United States - August 11, 2025 08/11/2025 12:30 am GMT-0700 PHOENIX, Ariz. – Phoenix police and Phoenix Fire Department crews responded to reports of a shooting on Latham Street just west of 51st Avenue. Officers arrived to find an unidentified gunshot victim. The victim was transported to a local trauma center via Phoenix FD in unknown condition. Officers established a large crime scene on Latham Street. Per Phoenix police at the scene, multiple officers responded to a nearby extended stay hotel in relation to the shooting. Officers with rifles and a shield were seen approaching a hotel room on the 3rd floor. Two occupants, a male and a female, were ordered out of the room at gunpoint. Both were swiftly detained and placed in patrol vehicles. It is unknown if the detained individuals are suspects in the shooting. Officers were seen entering the room a short time later. Detectives have taken command of the ongoing investigation.
