Tres Cantos, Spain - August 11, 2025 A video recorded by Miguel Á HitaRamírez shows a raging wildfire in the early hours of August 11, 2025, with bright flames and thick smoke visible from San Sebastián de los Reyes. The blaze began at 7:45 p.m. in a non-urbanized area for reasons still unknown. Strong winds fueled its rapid spread, forcing evacuations in nearby urbanizations, including Soto de Viñuelas and Fuente del Fresno. Authorities opened the Centro Deportivo Enrique Más to shelter displaced residents. The wildfire has already consumed more than 1,000 hectares and comes amid a wave of fires sweeping Southern Europe during a record-breaking heatwave. Miguel Á HitaRamírez said in Spanish: “Tres Cantos from San Sebastián de los Reyes right now, at 1:00 a.m. It calms and reactivates; we see flames from time to time.
