On 13 August, a landslip occurred on the roadside in Yunlong County, Dali Prefecture, Yunnan Province. Massive boulders tumbled down from the hillside. One driver, unable to reverse in time and fearing being struck by the falling rocks, grabbed his son and made an emergency escape from the car.

According to eyewitnesses, the largest boulder was estimated to be as tall as 5 metres. The situation was critical, but fortunately, the danger had been spotted in advance, and no vehicles were passing at the time, so there were no casualties.

After the incident, the Yunlong Highway Sub-Bureau promptly activated its emergency response plan, dispatching a rescue team to the scene to carry out clearance and ensure traffic flow. Following urgent work, the boulders were blasted apart, and the road was reopened to traffic at 9 p.m. the same evening.
