- KAMCHATKA, RUSSIA — AUG. 14, 2025 — RESTRICTION: USERS MUST CREDIT "KIRISHEVA SEISMIC STATION - RUSSIAN ACADEMY OF SCIENCES" HANDOUT — EDITORIAL USE ONLY — The Klyuchevskoy volcano erupted again Thursday, Aug. 14, spewing plumes of smoke and ash, according to the Kirisheva Seismic Station.

The station reported the ash column rose to about 8,000 meters (26,250 feet) above sea level.

Earlier, on Aug. 3, the Russian Academy of Sciences also reported an eruption at the volcano.
