China: Scale of China's civil aviation industry hits new high in H1

[Voiceover] New information from the Civil Aviation Administration of China shows that the country's civil aviation sector set new records in the first half of the year including an increase in passenger trips compared to last year. Accocrding to CAAC data, the sector handled 370 million passenger trips, six percent more than H1 last year, and carried almost 4.8 million tons of cargo and mail, a nearly 15 percent year-on-year increase. The country also added 123 air routes for international passenger flights from Janurary to June, which boosted traffic by nearly 29 percent year on year. And finally, the CAAC says nationwide on-time performance at China's ten-million passenger-grade airports reached 91.7 percent, a more than five percent increase from last year.
