Thai police officers chased a stray dog away from a 7-11 convenience store.

Footage shows a police officer using a riot shield and baton to evict the canine from the store in Ubon Ratchathani, Thailand.

He thumped the shield with the baton to scare the dog away. The dog can be heard barking as the officer tries to drive it away from the store aisles.

The furry creature was later cornered in front of the doorway. Police signalled to their colleague outside to open the door, allowing the stray to leave on its own on September 22.

An employee said: 'It was raining heavily, with thunder, which frightened the stray dog and led it to seek shelter inside the store. I asked police for help to make it leave because I was scared it would bite me.'
