Los Angeles, United States - August 14, 2025 08/14/2025 03:11 pm GMT-0700 ACTON, Calif. — At approximately 3:11 p.m. Thursday, August 14, 2025, Los Angeles County Fire Department crews responded to reports of a wildfire in the 33000 block of North Trenmar Drive in Acton. Upon arrival, firefighters confirmed an actively spreading brush fire, which was officially named the Hawk Fire. Due to rapid fire growth fueled by dry vegetation and afternoon winds, incident commanders quickly requested a third-alarm response, bringing in additional personnel, engines, and aircraft to the scene. By 5:00 p.m., the Hawk Fire had scorched an estimated 300 acres with zero percent containment. The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, in coordination with fire officials, issued an evacuation order for residents in the hills of Acton. Authorities are urging residents to leave the area immediately and avoid roadways near the fire to allow emergency crews unobstructed access.
