US, Los Angeles: Boyle Heights Pursuit Suspect Drives Onto LA River, Disappears Into Sewers
Los Angeles, United States - August 15, 2025 08/15/2025 01:00 am GMT-0700 BOYLE HEIGHTS, LOS ANGELES, Calif. – Los Angeles Police Department's Hollenbeck Division units pursued an armed suspect in a red SUV Friday morning. The suspect accessed the Los Angeles River near the Sixth Street Bridge, driving onto the riverbed. After stopping just north of the Seventh Street Bridge, the suspect fled on foot into a drainage pipe. Officers conducted a search of the area but were unable to locate him.
