Air Force Carries Home Fallen Norfolk Airman Arrington
DOVER AIR FORCE BASE, Del.– A U.S. Air Force carry team transferred the remains of Airman 1st Class Immanuel Lorenzo Arrington of Norfolk, Va., during a dignified transfer at Dover Air Force Base.
Arrington, who was assigned to the 48th Security Forces Squadron at RAF Lakenheath, England, was honored as his remains arrived on U.S. soil. The solemn ceremony is part of the military’s tradition to ensure fallen service members are received with dignity and respect.
The Air Force regularly conducts dignified transfers at Dover for those who die while serving overseas. The ceremony allows families and service members to pay tribute to the sacrifice of their loved one and fellow airman.
