This is the impressive moment a martial arts practitioner extinguished candle flames using his 'ghost technique'.

Combat athlete Pete Lambert demonstrated a kata-inspired sequence in Chaguanas, Trinidad and Tobago, where he skillfully put out the candlelight without touching them.

Footage shows Pete, dressed in a black dobok with his face covered by a black scarf, beginning his performance with a respectful bow.

He then followed with powerful air punches, a 360-degree roundhouse kick, and a kneeling stance before three concrete blocks holding the 15 lit candles.

Moments later, the martial artist lowered himself to the level of the flames and unleashed a series of sharp jabs and precise hand swipes, causing bursts of air strong enough to snuff out each candle one by one, continuing until every flame was gone.

Small gusts of air created by rapid hand movements can displace oxygen around a flame and carry away some heat, snuffing out the fire without direct contact.
