Los Angeles, United States - August 17, 2025 08/16/2025 10:30 pm GMT-0700 HARVARD HEIGHTS, LOS ANGELES, Calif. – The Los Angeles Police Department's Olympic Division responded to reports of a shooting victim in the 1300 block of South St. Andrews Place, which was linked to a possible domestic disturbance. Upon arrival, officers found a female gunshot victim who was unresponsive but breathing. Another victim at the scene was discovered shot. Both victims were transported to a hospital by the Los Angeles Fire Department. A spokesperson for the LAPD confirmed that one victim has died, and the other victim had survived the shooting. The spokesperson told KNN that there was a female victim, but the spokesperson did not indicate the gender of the second victim. However, it was initially determined at the scene that a man was also shot. The LAPD spokesperson added that there was a verbal dispute between the female victim and the suspect, a man in his 60s. A passerby in a vehicle stopped to assist the female when the suspect shot both victims. The suspect fled in an unknown direction. The LAPD's West Bureau Homicide is handling the investigation.
