Los Angeles, United States - August 18, 2025 08/18/2025 01:00 am GMT-0700 ARLETA, LOS ANGELES, Calif. – Los Angeles police officers responded to a report of a man with a gun inside his mother's home on the 14000 block of Gruen Street. Officers arrived and spoke to the mother, who stated the male had a rifle and several pistols. He made statements saying he wanted to go outside & shoot birds. The suspect is a felon in possession, known to smoke meth, and is possibly mentally disturbed. A SMART Team was requested to the location as well as the Los Angeles Fire Department. Officers were attempting call-outs, trying to get the suspect to exit the residence peacefully. It is unknown at this time how and when the situation was resolved.
