Kind visitor hands out bread to hospital patients in the Philippines
This is the heartwarming moment a visitor distributed bread to hospital patients in the Philippines.
Erica Mae Igot handed out loaves to people receiving treatment inside a ward after Good Samaritans sent her money to help them in Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu.
Footage shows the kindhearted woman giving the packed bread to the patients on August 15.
The individuals receiving care and their families can be heard thanking Erica for her touching gesture.
Erica recalled visiting her ailing aunt at Carajay Hospital when she noticed an elderly man, Ramil Eyas, alone in his bed without any relatives, food, or personal belongings.
She said: 'I asked my aunt, and she said that Ramil was really unfortunate because he had no family, only the neighbors. At that time, he even had a fever. I told myself that if I had money, I would help him.
'I made a video with my aunt and took clips of him as well, then posted it online. Suddenly, a few hours later, many concerned people reached out to help him. I then decided to buy bread and a pack of adult diapers for one of the patients.'
Currently, Erica has been raising funds for Ramil, who is in critical condition, for his cross-blood matching.
