5. AMBULANCE PASSING ON ROAD HALABJA, IRAQ - AUG. 19: A wildfire that burned for three days in the villages of Chnare, Neyjele, and Mordin near Halabja has been brought under control on Tuesday, Aug. 19.

Forest Police officer Mohammed Sheikh Haidar and volunteer firefighter Ari Mukhtar died during the emergency response efforts, local authorities confirmed.

Halabja Governor Nuxsha Nasih declared a two-day mourning period in honor of the victims.
