This is the impressive moment a herd of escaped goats crossed a road while the traffic light was on a red.

Shafa Kahransya Rifti spotted the brown doe and her four black juvenile goats waiting on the central reservation before walking across the pedestrian lane in Tangerang, Indonesia.

Footage shows the farm animals casually strolling on the asphalt while motorists were halted on August 17.

However, they stopped in the middle of the road, visibly unsure of which way to go as the mother tried to understand the crossroads.

The light then turned green in another lane, prompting passing drivers to navigate the road while keeping their distance to avoid hitting the goats.

After a brief pause, the herd ran safely toward the roadside of the opposite street to graze on a nearby grassy field.

Shafa said: 'It was amusing to see the family of goats navigating the road in a modern residential area. They were very intelligent.'
