Britain's youngest Elvis tribute act has lived his dream - after performing at Presley's Graceland home in Memphis.

Talented Cooper Worthington, 12, flew to America to play at the 'King of Rock 'n' Roll's home after he received an invitation.

Cooper,

from Paignton, Devon said visitors were "shocked" to know that he came all the way from the UK to show his moves and voice."

Mum Kelly Worthington said he wowed crowds - with people saying he looked like young Elvis and others inviting him to return next year.

Cooper had the opportunity to play at Graceland Theatre, Beale Street and the exhibition center in Graceland.

Songs such as Hound Dog, That's Alright Mama and Shake Rattle and Roll were part of his repertoire in his gigs.

Cooper said: "It was such an honour to come all the way from England to perform at Elvis house. "

"They were all shocked that someone from the UK came over. "

"It felt really good - It was my first abroad concert."

"Some people were saying to wanted to have me back next year."

"A lot of people said that I looked like young Elvis before he started singing."

Kelly said that despite missing their connection flight and experiencing some delays on the way to Memphis "all was fine."

She said his performances were "so special" because he was the only English tribute act there. "

She said: "When we got there we went straight to bed and the next day he had his first performance and he was fine."

"They absolutely loved him. Because he is from the UK they love the English accent. "

"We had so many people coming to us. There's a guy who wants us to come next year. If he pays Cooper's flights to go back we will go."

"He was a bit nervous before getting on stage. He had the shakes before performing the first time. But he got used to it afterwards."

Kelly added that adults Elvis impersonators were giving him good advice and even helping him doing his hair.

"He was just in his element this weekend," she said."

"It is always so emotional and the amount of people that were so kind to us with all the lovely comments he gets."

"Online he has had quite nasty things said online so when we go to places and everybody is so supportive it is just nice."

His love for Elvis started when he was 7-years-old and it has grown since then.

Cooper now wants to "keep practicing and get better" - to one day win the world ultimate Elvis tribute. "

He added: "I have been doing it for so many years and i will keep practicing and get better. "

"I am going for some competitions next year and hopefully next year I will finish in a good place."

For now Elvis is preparing for a busy summer full of performances and then start praciticing for competitions across the country in Blackpool, Weston-Super-Mare and Birmingham.

Kelly concluded: "He is so young he is only 12 but he has got the moves, the look and everything else. When the voice breaks he will sound even more like Elvis and be able to sing the deep songs that he can't sing now. "

"He's had the bug for it since he was 6 year old. He wants to win the world ultimate Elvis tribute."
