The Palestinian death toll in the Gaza Strip has risen to 62,122, with 156,758 others injured since the conflict between Hamas and Israel erupted on October 7, 2023, Gaza's health authorities said in a statement on Wednesday. Since the Israel resumed military operations in Gaza on March 18, 10,576 people have been killed and another 44,717 injured, according to the statement. Over the past 24 hours, Israeli attacks resulted in the deaths of 58 Palestinians with 185 others injured in the Gaza Strip. Of those deaths, 22 people were killed and 49 injured while trying to get humanitarian aid, according to the statement. The past 24 hours also saw three more adult fatalities due to famine and malnutrition in the enclave.
