Rockville, United States - August 21, 2025 08/20/2025 10:15 pm GMT-0700 HOLLYWOOD, LOS ANGELES, Calif. – The Los Angeles Police Department's Hollywood Division responded to a report of a suspicious package near the intersection of Hollywood Boulevard and McCadden Place. Officers arrived to find a black briefcase outside the Church of Scientology. In response, officers evacuated Hollywood Boulevard and requested the bomb squad to the scene. The roadway was closed between Las Palmas and Highland. The Los Angeles Fire Department was on-site, staging as a precaution. The LAPD Bomb Squad arrived and deployed a drone and a robot to scan the briefcase. Officers at the scene continued to investigate the incident. No further information has been released at this time.
