Aerial footage shows the devastating impact of floods in northern India, causing widespread disruption to residents in the region.

Heavy downpours in the catchment areas of Nepal caused a rise in the water levels of major rivers, including the Ganga, Bagmati, Kosi, Punpun, and Ghaghra, which are now flowing above danger level in several regions.

The video clip reveals a severely flooded residential zone in Pranpur, Katihar district, Bihar, with homes and agricultural land inundated across dozens of villages.

Floodwaters have reportedly swept away hundreds of houses, displaced livestock, destroyed crops, and left thousands of locals displaced.

Residents are now urging the local government to provide emergency aid and support.
