The jaw-dropping moment Hexham House turned into dust and rubble following controlled explosion
On November 30, 2024, at around 11:30 GMT, the Walker skyline in Newcastle upon Tyne underwent an 'explosive' transformation, as captured in this video.
"Here’s footage of the Hexham House demolition," the filmer, Peter, told WooGlobe.
Standing tall since 1968, Hexham House was brought down through a controlled explosion as part of the city council’s plans to rejuvenate the area.
The honor of pressing the button to set off the explosives was given to three children, who won a competition to become part of the historic moment.
