US, Los Angeles: Lynwood Gunshot Victim Dies After Being Rushed to Hospital by Car
Los Angeles, United States - August 22, 2025 08/22/2025 02:44 am GMT-0700 LYNWOOD, Calif. – Authorities are investigating a shooting that left a woman dead early Friday morning, according to the Los Angeles Sheriff's Department. The female adult was shot in the 2100 block of N. Kalsman Avenue and transported to a local hospital, where she was pronounced deceased. The suspect is unknown, according to LASD. Initial reports indicated a gray Hyundai Elantra informed California Highway Patrol officers that they were transporting a gunshot victim to St. Francis Medical Center. The shooting was initially reported near Rosecrans Avenue and Central Avenue in Compton. Footage showed a woman with blood on her shirt, believed to have helped transport the victim to a local hospital. The officers followed the vehicle and arrived at Saint Francis Medical Center in Lynwood. Footage from the scene showed a woman with blood on her shirt, presumed to be an acquaintance of the victim. The condition of the gunshot victim remains unknown.
