VARIOUS OF PEOPLE WALKING IN FRONT OF NOTRE-DAME CATHEDRAL/ NOTRE-DAME CATHEDRAL BUILDING PARIS, FRANCE - AUGUST 23, 2025: Activists in the French capital, Paris, held a protest in support of Palestinians in Gaza on Saturday, Aug. 23. Demonstrators gathered in front of Notre Dame Cathedral and staged a die-in, lying on the ground to symbolize those killed in Gaza. The protest aimed to draw attention to the ongoing Israeli violence and the severe humanitarian crisis in the besieged enclave. Participants stated that the symbolic protest was intended to raise international awareness of the humanitarian crisis in Gaza through Parisians and tourists visiting the city. Israel has killed nearly 62,300 Palestinians in Gaza since October 2023. The military campaign has devastated the enclave, which is facing famine. Last November, the International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants for Netanyahu and his former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza.
