MASHANTUCKET, CONNECTICUT, US - AUGUST 23, 2025: Tribal Nations from across North America came together on August 23, 2025, to participate in the grand entry of the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation’s 33rd annual Schemitzun: Feast of Green Corn and Dance. Held on the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation’s cultural grounds, the event celebrated Indigenous traditions, ceremonial dances, and music, bringing together tribal members from across the continent.

Participants engaged in cultural practices, including preparing traditional foods over a fire, performing ceremonial dances, and donning traditional regalia, highlighting the rich heritage of the Mashantucket Pequot and visiting tribes.
