The Palestinian death toll in the Gaza Strip has risen to 62,622, with 157,673 others injured since the conflict between Hamas and Israel erupted on October 7, 2023, Gaza's health authorities said in a statement on Saturday. Since Israel resumed military operations in Gaza on March 18, 10,778 people have been killed and another 45,632 injured, according to the statement. Over the past 24 hours, Israeli attacks on the enclave have killed 61 people and wounded 308 others. On Saturday evening, hospital sources in Gaza said Israeli army attacks across the war-torn region had killed at least 51 people since early that morning, including at least 16 who were waiting to receive aid.
