Retiree shocked at finding snake hidden in bedroom ceiling
A retired police officer was shocked when he found a snake hidden in his bedroom ceiling in Thailand.
Prasit Krajangsuwan was kept awake by strange noises coming from the ceiling of his home in Ang Thong province.
When he poked through the ceiling panel, he discovered a five-foot green snake hidden directly above his bed.
The retiree called reptile expert Ratha Tapianthong to dispose of the scaly visitor from his room on August 18.
Footage shows the specialist extracting the snake barehanded from a ceiling panel. With bare hands, she placed it into a sack to be released into the wilderness.
Prasit, a former police captain, said he had been hearing sounds in the ceiling for two nights in a row.
He said: 'I do not know how the snake entered the ceiling. There are no openings that I know of. If it hadn't been captured, I would have spent many nights sleepless. It's a good thing the snake was non-venomous and easily caught.'
