US, Los Angeles: Montecito Heights LAPD Officer-Invovled Shooting Investigation
Los Angeles, United States - August 23, 2025 08/22/2025 08:20 pm GMT-0700 MONTECITO HEIGHTS, LOS ANGELES, Calif. – A man who allegedly threatened another person with a knife was shot and wounded by Los Angeles police officers Friday night in Montecito Heights. Officers responded to a call at 8:20 p.m. in the 5400 block of Monterey Road, where they confronted the man, who was reportedly armed with a knife. Police said the officers shot the man, who was taken into custody and transported to a hospital with stable vital signs. No officers or civilians were injured. A knife was recovered at the scene. An investigation is ongoing.
