This is the terrifying moment a roof clattered amid powerful winds as Typhoon Kajiki approached Vietnam.

Dramatic footage shows the panel being battered violently by intense winds as heavy downpours hit Ha Tinh on August 25.

The filmer said: 'The storm hasn't arrived yet, but it's already very strong. May Mother Nature be kind to everyone.'

The government has suspended flights, closed schools, and launched mass evacuations, with at least 30,000 people relocated from coastal areas.

Typhoon Kajiki was located around 68 miles off the northern part of Vietnam's central coast at 3 pm GMT, with gusts reaching up to 103 mph over the sea.

The storm is expected to make landfall on Monday afternoon.

Officials have described Kajiki as 'extremely dangerous', warning of potential flooding, landslides, and heavy rainfall. It is forecast to move inland, tracking across Laos and into northern Thailand.
