UK: Man appears in court over violent disorder at Epping protest

-CHELMSFORD, UK - AUG. 26, 2025: A 52-year-old demonstrator, Phillip Curson, appeared in court on Tuesday charged with violent disorder during a protest outside the Bell Hotel in Epping, Essex. The protest took place on July 17, when demonstrators gathered outside the hotel over claims it was being used to house asylum seekers. According to Essex Police, two other men, Dean Smith and Stuart Williams, admitted one count of violent disorder and are due to be sentenced on October 6.
