3. VARIOUS OF PALESTINIANS LEAVING WITH FEW BELONGINGS BY VEHICLES OR ON FOOT GAZA STRIP, PALESTINE - AUGUST 26:Palestinians in Gaza’s northern Saftawi neighborhood were once again forced to flee on Tuesday, August 26, as Israeli bombardment intensified.

The latest wave of forced displacement comes after Israel approved a plan to occupy Gaza City, compounding nearly two years of repeated uprooting for the enclave’s 2.3 million residents, with over one million in the north now at risk.

The Israeli army continued to carry out home demolitions via booby-trapped devices in the northern Gaza Strip, including the Jabalia al-Nazla area and southern Gaza City, as part of a broader operation launched on Aug. 11 under an occupation plan.

Israel has killed more than 62,800 Palestinians in Gaza since October 2023. The military campaign has devastated the enclave, which is facing famine.

Last November, the International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants for Netanyahu and his former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza.

Israel also faces a genocide case at the International Court of Justice for its war on the enclave.
