Tourists were horrified as cockroaches and centipedes swarmed the walls as a storm battered northern Thailand.

Disgusted holidaymakers recorded the stomach-turning sight as clusters of the bugs scurried up a concrete fence in Chiang Mai province.

Skin-crawling footage shows the pests lining the walls, with shocked pedestrians recoiling at the infestation on August 26.

Typhoon Kajiki was dumping heavy rains in the region, flushing cockroaches and rats from sewers out into the open.

It had earlier battered Vietnam, killing three and injuring at least 13 others.

Authorities said the downpours overwhelmed drainage systems and swamped roads in 12 inches of water.

The Thai Meteorological Agency said Kajiki was downgraded into a tropical storm after entering central Laos on Tuesday morning.

Flood warnings were issued across Thailand's north and northeastern regions as the northern weather office warned of heavy rain and possible gale-force winds until Wednesday.
