The world's largest Pop Mart shop opened in Thailand amid surging popularity for its cartoon-style dolls.

Footage shows crowds visiting the store on the 7th floor of ICONSIAM mall in Bangkok today following the launch earlier in the month.

The Hong Kong-listed toy company said the two-storey space is filled with vibrant colours and bright lighting, featuring popular characters such as Labubu, Molly, Skull Panda, Crybaby, and Hirono.

Named the 'Window to the Fantasy', the 760-square-metre store includes elements of Thai art and culture, contemporary design, and imaginative fantasy.

The opening follows the growing popularity of Labubu - a toothy-grinned character from The Monsters series by artist Kasing Lung - which has become a cult favourite among collectors and has even been spotted with celebrities like Blackpink's Lisa, Rihanna, Dua Lipa, Kim Kardashian, and Cher.

Pop Mart is listed in Hong Kong. Its shares closed at a record high of 324 HKD on Monday, August 25 - almost ten times the IPO price of 38.50 HKD.
