Located about 40 kilometers south of Cairo, Dahshur is an ancient royal necropolis and home to these pioneering structures that reflect Egypt’s early architectural experimentation. Commissioned by Pharaoh Snefru founder of the Fourth Dynasty, in the 26th century BC, the pyramids are regarded as groundbreaking monuments of the period.
