Los Angeles, United States - August 27, 2025 08/27/2025 02:09 am GMT-0700 DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES, Calif. – The Los Angeles Fire Department responded to a report of a leaking hydrant. Crews arrived to find that a water main attached to a nearby building was shooting water high into the air. Despite several attempts to close nearby valves, firefighters were unsuccessful in shutting off the water flow. They subsequently requested assistance from the Department of Water and Power. Water could be seen spraying adjacent to a commercial structure, though it remains unclear whether any water entered the building. The cause of the water main break is currently unknown.
