This is the amusing moment a clingy wild monkey climbed all over a tourist's head.

Mark Jessele Manalo and his friends were visiting the Sacred Monkey Forest Sanctuary in Ubud, Bali, when the primate suddenly climbed onto his shoulder.

Footage shows Mark frozen in place on the steps, afraid to move in case the long-tailed macaque attacked him.

The animal can be seen rummaging through his hair as another monkey sat beside him.

Moments later, the cheeky primate rested its head on Mark with its arms and feet sprawled across him, leaving his friends in awe.

One of his companions suggested he lie down to shake off the monkey, but a staff member instead told him to stand. The advice worked, prompting the animal to leap away.

Mark said: 'My friend asked me to sit beside a monkey on my right, but out of nowhere, another one climbed onto me through my sleeve. At that moment, it felt like he completely owned me.

'I tried my best not to panic, but deep down I was terrified—especially since he kept biting my shoulder whenever I tried to push him away. Luckily, my shirt gave me some protection. With no choice left, I just let him do whatever he wanted.

'It was a wild, unforgettable experience. Honestly, I'd still go back to Bali again. That monkey definitely made my trip even more memorable.'

Long-tailed macaques in Bali are known for their playful yet mischievous behaviour around tourists. They often climb on visitors or snatch food and belongings, sometimes turning aggressive if provoked.
