This is the impressive moment an elephant lifted a chubby tourist with its tusks.

Fah Chanarun sat on the pachyderm's ivory arcs at Samut Prakan Crocodile Farm and Zoo in Thai Ban, Thailand.

Footage shows the holidaymaker holding tightly onto the tusks while the beast hoisted her with ease on July 27.

The elephant's mahout can be seen standing next to it, guiding the jumbo. Moments later, the animal gently lowered her to the ground.

Fah said: 'Before I sat on the elephant, I asked the mahout if it was possible to lift a plus-size person, and he approved it.'

Elephants are not only known for their size but also for their incredible strength. Experts said that these creatures can lift objects weighing up to 200 kilogrammes using a combination of their tusks and trunks.

This remarkable ability allows elephants to move heavy logs, branches, and other obstacles in their natural habitats.
