This is the amusing moment a pet pushed a gold bracelet into a bin before its owner unknowingly threw it away.

Ms Wang had removed the bracelet and left it on the table while washing dishes when her grey feline played with it in Guangxi, China.

CCTV footage shows the kitty flipping the jewellery back and forth with its paw before it falls into the bin on August 17.

After realising that the bracelet was gone, the animal groomed itself as if nothing had happened.

Ms Wang recalled throwing out the trash later that evening, and when she tried to find her accessory worth CNY 30,000 (approximately 3,115 GBP), she immediately checked the surveillance footage, only to discover that it had fallen into the trash bin.

She reportedly filed a police report, but the rubbish had already been collected and sent for incineration.

Ms Wang said: 'I was upset for several days after losing the bracelet.'
