KRASNOARMEYSK, UKRAINE - AUG. 28, 2025 - RESTRICTION: USERS MUST CREDIT “RUSSIAN DEFENSE MINISTRY” HANDOUT, MUST NOT OBSCURE LOGO — EDITORIAL USE ONLY - The Russian Aerospace Forces struck a temporary deployment site of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in Krasnoarmeysk on Thursday, Aug. 28.

The airstrike destroyed the identified target using FAB-250 bombs with a planning and correction module (UMPK), according to the Russian Defense Ministry.

The temporary deployment site of the 155th Separate Marine Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces was reportedly discovered during reconnaissance operations.

Russia started its "special military operation" in Ukraine in February 2022 to "denazify" and "demilitarize" Ukraine.

On Aug. 15, Russian President Vladimir Putin and US President Donald Trump held a landmark summit in Alaska, where they voiced a shared commitment to “results” and hinted at potential frameworks to end the Ukraine war.

Trump later met Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in Washington, and briefly phoned Putin during the discussions — a call both sides described as "constructive."
